Unit Five (Russia) Presentation Assignment

Research a significant person in Russian history/culture and prepare an oral presentation meeting the following criteria:

1) Length – at least two minutes, not to exceed three minutes

2) Content

     a. Significance – Why is this person famous/important?

      b. Key Events – identify (with dates) key events in the person’s life, including broader context of Russian/European/world history

      c. Story – include at least one specific, interesting anecdote (preferably true!)

3) Organization – clear beginning, middle, end; coherent instead of random rambling

4) Delivery – pronunciation, familiarity with content, eye contact – you may use a notecard or similar aid to remember key dates and names, but you should present to the class and not simply read!
