The MBA Honor Code Requires You to Cite Your Sources

What does the MBA Honor Code have to say about citing your sources?

The MBA Honor Code states: "A student may neither falsify results nor use any source without giving proper credit."

Not citing any source you use violates the MBA Honor Code. Note-take carefully in NoodleTools so that no source gets overlooked in your citations!

What Gets Cited

You must cite:

  • Facts, figures, ideas, or other information that is not common knowledge
  • Ideas, words, theories, or exact language that another person used in other publications
  • Publications that must be cited include:  books, book chapters, articles, web pages, theses, etc.

  • Another person's exact words should be quoted and cited to show proper credit

When in doubt, be safe and cite your source!
